Netflix emplaca Round 6 entre indicados ao SAG Awards 2021

Os indicados ao SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild), organização que premia o desempenho de atores e atrizes sediada nos EUA, destacaram produções de streaming. A Netflix teve destaque com The Power of the Dog e Round 6 – a primeira série não-americana a receber uma indicação – e nomeações únicas para Não Olhe para Cima, Passing e Halston.

A Apple TV teve como destaques Ted Lasso e The Morning Show. Outros nomeados foram Coda e The Tragedy of Macbeth.

Já a Amazon teve como destaques Being the Ricardos e The Tender Bar. A Disney recebeu nomeações por The Handmaid’s Tale e a Disney+ por Loki e The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

O sucesso de Round 6, Ted Lasso, Don’t Look Up, Coda, Duna, House of Gucci, King Richard e outros repetiu-se também nas indicações no Golden Globe Awards. O Golden Globe foi transmitido apenas online este ano, por ter perdido a reputação devido a acusações de pouca diversidade entre as escolhas antes de 2022. Já o Oscar, que será em março, ainda poderá ser presencial nos EUA, apesar do aumento dos casos da Covid-19 e cancelamento de vários eventos.

O prêmio será 27 de fevereiro de 2022 e os resultados poderão ser acompanhados no site do SAG Awards.
